Mark Protze: symphonic freak

Background:
Mark was born in Wolfsburg. He started to play the guitar at the age of 12, and as he got more serious he took lessons from Nikos Aspiotis. He went on to Jazz& Rockschool in Freiburg. During theis period he learned with a lot of different people and different music-styles from Rock to Funk, Swing and Fusion.

After finishing college he started writing some own material to record an Instrumental- CD which was released in the spring of 2004, which highlights his classical tinged style.

Some of his influences include:
Randy Rhoads, Vinnie Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Stump, Scott Henderson, Al Di Meola, John Mclaughlin,Michael Romeo,Mike Stern, Zakk Wylde and Joe Satriani.
