Fernando Pareta: city of poor hearts

Background:
Fernando Pareta was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16th, 1979. His earliest influences were listening to his grandfather's tango collection of Bandoneon Oscar"

Born in to a musical family, his mother was a piano teacher and his father a violinist, he was exposed to classical music, and composer Astor Piazzolla's works in particular. Later hew would be influenced by more orthodox contemporary players like Jeff Beck, Angus Young, Gary Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

He studied with local teachers and played in a number of bands, finally recording his first CD in 2003. As a result of this work he was selected to appear on the Jemfest 2004 and 2005 show. Check out the 200 videos of Fernando and others on the jemfest website
