Dennis Janglov: segments from the sun


Dennis, like his twin brother David was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Both he and his brother shared a guitar from the age of 9. After a year of playing he bought both guitars of their own. His early influences were bands like Kiss and other hard rock bands.

He had a number of private tutors. At around 15 he got into players like Joe satriani, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Yngwie malmsteen. He started an arts program at Nynäshamns gymnasium, taking lessons in speed and tapping techniques.

Later on he began to discover the fusion players like: Frank Gambale, Mike Stern, Scott Henderson and Robben Ford.

Both brothers are off to MIT Hollywood later this year, 2005.

Some of the other guitarists that have inspired David include: Eddie Van Halen, Zakk wylde, Ritchie Kotzen, Micke Lind, Jimmie Hellström,John Petrucci and Mattias IA Ekhlund.
