Background:
Igor Belsky was born in Siberia, Russia. Igor was given a traditional Russian seven string guitar by his uncle at age 11.
His earlty inspiration came from Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Queen, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Rainbow. Ritchie Blackmore, inspired Igor to practce daily.
Igor enrolled in the local music college, but he was not allowed to play guitar, so he settled for the saxophone! Igor finally got accepted to Irkutsk music college to study jazz guitar. Infortunately Igor got conscripted and was drafted into the Soviet Red Army for two years' compulsory service! He joined the Red Army Ensemble of Dance and Song, playing mainly traditional Russian military and folk music.
The end of military service Igor moved to the UK where he made two brief visits tot London's Guitar Institue of Technology (GIT) and the Musicians' Academy.
