Word on the street is that Ricky Garcia will be on Jordan Rudess's next solo CD due out sometime around September 2007. He is playing solos on 2 of Jordan's songs. Ricky is also completing his new solo CD again due in the early fall. Ricky has added some more video including a video of the Musik Produktiv Germany Trade show at the CORT / Gewa distribution booth
17-04-2005: New video from clinics (rm) at the Musik Messe 2005. Ricky also plays two clinics with Neil Zaza for Cort-guitars european clinic tour.
Background:
Ricky was born in Cologne, Germany. After he received a scholarship he studied at the prestigious
Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) where he graduated in 2002 with a Diploma in Professional Music. He is influenced by rock, fusion, salsa, merengue, Brazilian music and flamenco.
Ricky has studied and performed with players like Jon Finn, Rob Balducci, Joe Stump, Rusty Cooley and played on the annual guitar festival "JEMFEST".
Ricky is currently working full time as a guitar instructor and session player in Germany and is continually working on new solo material.
