Background:
Tom Slusher likes to play the guitar like a piano. He was interested in keyboard and orchestral music from the beginning. He was always interested in expanding the scope of sounds for guitar playing. He discovered touch style guitar players like Emmet Chapman, Stanley Jordan and Michael Hedges.

He has been influenced by jazz, jazz-influenced or music of a contemporary classical nature. From this he assimilated concert pianists and jazz pianists into the touch style technique.
