A slow update on my part. Allen has updated his web site with a new look and feel and removed the flash so you can get to the files more easily and it gets indexed by the search engines.

Check out his crazy Robot Shred (mpg) video or view his extensive video list or his extensive mp3 list.

Background:

Allen Van Wert is an accomplished player and his dedication to the instrument earned him a scholarship to Berklee College Of Music Like Buckethead, Allan Van Wert fuses together an eclectic mix of computer robotic textures, interlaced by technical shredding. He has built up an arsenal of chops to facilitate his musical vision. Some of his musical influences in include Michael Angelo Batio and Francesco Fareri. These influences are easily noticible in his technique.

His first CD, ROBOT, has futuristic electronic sounds and experimental music styles. Including sounding like:
"video game gone mad"
His web site was entirely Flash based, so you would have to navigate to find links for 20+ video tracks of live and studio work and mp3 sample tracks...well not anymore see the news item. If that fires you up you can buy his cd online.
