Background:
Kelly Simonz was born in 1970 in Osaka, Japan. Fans of Yngwie Malmsteen will immediately recognise that Kelly is fully rooted in the neo classical vein. Much of his music is highly derivative of the school of Yngwie bombastic rock.
Kelly started guitar late, at the age of 14, but after only 6 months he was playing Loudness songs, featuring Akira Takasaki.
