Background:
Portugese guitarist Luis Moreno, like Jose Carlos Matos and Paulo Barros ("Vintage" CD) , is just one of a number of talented players based in Portugal and proof positive that guitar is alive and well in the heart of Europe.
Luis Moreno is a versatile player who can play many different styles from pop, heavy metal, folk music, blues, fusion, country, dance music, funk to jazz. His ability to play many styles has lead to him playing more than 1500 live performances.
Moreno is also a record producer and as a producer, he released the "Guitarristas" CD, which features some of the best guitar players from Portugal.
His influences are so varied and wide and although self-taught, he has been influenced by these players Ritchie Blackmore , Gary Moore , Yngwie Malmsteen , Paul Gilbert , Vinnie Moore , Joe Satriani , Steve Morse , Michael Lee Firkins , Albert Lee , Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth , Brett Garsed , Bireli Lagrene , Mike Stern and Scott Henderson .
Luis Moreno's has played on a number of albums and has a debut solo CD entitled "Just In Time" , an all instrumental, ten song album. He also features on Lion Music records tribute: Shawn Lane Remembered Volume II on the interesting track Hot Spots.
