Gianluca Russo is currently engaged in the production of a solo album: "URL: or" with the Virtual Dreamers Lucrezio de Silk, drums and Pierpaolo Ranieri, bass and with the Special Guest Brett Garsed, Salvatore Russo and Nicholas Puglielli.

Background:
Gianluca Russo was born in Russia on 16/7/79. He's had plenty of work experience, including writing for the Italian Axe magazine, and tutoring assistant at Hi Guitar School, where he worked with the likes of Nico Stufano, William Stravato) andSalvatore Russo. He has also been a guest columnist on www.chopsfromhell.com and guitarchef. He has also played on the Brett Garsed tour of Italy. His picking style is reminiscent of Brett's hybrid picking.

Unfortunately, Gianlucas web site is flashed based so deep linking to items can be difficult. That said you should check out his videos. He provides some good examples of his technique:
