Background:
Mike Philippov was born in 1987 in Omsk, Russia, in Siberia. Had has studied privately with Ney Mello. Currently he is studying composition, improvisation and advanced guitar playing with Tom Hess and is taking music theory classes at Indiana University.
Some of his influences include: Vinnie Moore, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, George Bellas, Tom Hess and Rhapsody.
