ANGRA frontman Edu Falaschi's ALMAH project has parted ways with guitarist Edu Ardanuy and replaced him with Marcelo Barbosa.



Almah's debut album was released in North America through Candlelight on July 17th,2007. The album also features Nightwish guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, Stratovarious bassist Lauri Porra and Kamelot drummer Casey Grillo. AFM Records released the album in Europe on March 2nd, 2007.

Background:
Marcelo Barbosa was born in Brazil. He started playing guitar at the age of 12. He studied guitar with Allan Marshall, who taught him the principles of harmony and improvisation.

In 1996, he decided to create his own guitar school in Brasilia. He created the lesson material and arranged all the guitar tutors. The institute GTR team have now successfully trained morre than four a thousand pupilsand is currently teaching 500 pupils.

Marcelo has also participated in the Berklee Colege of Music, summer school program, where from more than 400 guitarists, Marcelo was one of twelve to gain a scholarship.
