2008 has been a very exciting year so far. Rob Balducci is currently in the studio recording his new CD for Favored Nations Entertainment titled
"Violet Horizon".

Rob, Randy and drummer John Macaluso are writing tunes and recording together. The music is amazing and the cd is being produced by Emmy award winning producer Brian Tarquin. Randy's new CD will feature the new songs written with Rob and John as well as some past favorites featuring guitarist Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Leslie West and many more.

Hey ya.... I have been crazy recording, all is going great! This Lick of The Week I wanted to share with you a look into the studio where I am recording. I thought sharing this whole process would be a cool feature and something like I would like to see from some of my favorite players. The first clips I am recording the track Shape-Shifter (cp 2007/08 Sweetdance music/BMI) I am using my Ibanez Custom RG. The 2nd and 3rd clip I am recording the track The Essence. I am using an Ibanez Xotic wood series acoustic as well as my Ibanez RG Libra )reverse headstock. I hope you guys dig it!

Hey Ya, sorry it took so long to get this next one up. I have been crazy working on my new CD as well as other stuido sessions, Plus working with Randy Coven.
This new LOTW is taken from Cove City Studio, Ian Ethan and I are busting this Brutal version of my new song titled "Sleestack" (cp Sweetdance Music/BMI 2007).
I am using my Ibanez RG Bal 7 string and running into my Cornford MK 50... killer tone indeed. Stay tuned for more. Rock! RB

Rarely, if ever, does anyone of whom I have had no previous knowledge, completely fry my brain-pan. One of the very best performances I have seen, and that from an artist heard for the first time. I'm sure lots of you are familiar already, and if not, check him out immediately...what's to say...........best performance by a band I've never seen before. Staggeringly good musicians all. This was taken in PA at Ibanez Dayz at Dave Phillips Music. I think this is my longest LOTW yet. I had such a blast at these events. It is great to meet people who are so into the guitar and music. I want to Thank Ibanez and Dave Phillips music for having me... This Rocked! I am using Ibanez Gear.. my RG Prestige Guitars going into a Tone Blaster 150 amp and using a screamin demon wah into a Ibanez Tone lok chorus- flange pedal.I am also using my george L's cables...and an Ibanez Tube screamer.... yeaaahhhhh!

This LOTW I recorded with a new guitar that was put together from parts! I think it is kind of cool! I will make this into a sustainer guitar when I get the product. This was a quick improv video I took while waiting for a student to arrive. That is why I am looking at the door lol... the volume is a little weird but I liked the vibe. I titled it Phrygian Chaos because it is a backing track I use for students and its in this mode. I was kind of zone'in it!! See you guys next week! Rock! RB

Background:
Rob Balducci was born in Queens, New York. He started playing guitar at the age of 10. After three years playing he started playing in bands.
He won theNew York's Best Guitarist 1990 and got contracts with D'Addario, Ibanez, DiMarzio, and Eventide.
