Thorsten started playing guitar at age 11. He learned guitar like Hendrix, playing a right handed guitar, left handed, leavign the strings as they were.

He was self taught and mainly learned from watching other guitarists or listening to records. his main influence was Edward Van Halen and later to Yngwie Malmsteen who made him aware of the technical aspects of his plaing style, making him practice alternate and sweep picking, string skipping and all the other shred techniques.

Check out his web site for a more complete bio.

You can also see his many "lefty" guitars many from the sponsoring Dean guitars. He has been featuer on a number of CD's and you can check out his playing on mp3 from his web site
