MIND ODYSSEY, the German metal band featuring RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski, has inked a deal with Napalm Records. The group's new studio album is expected in the fall.

"In the March issue of the Gitarre & Bass magazine, which will be available on February 22nd, there will be a comprehensive guitar workshop with Victor Smolski.

On March 15th, Rage are going to perform a show at the Frankfurt Music Fair in Hall 3 on the Agora Stage from 10:30 to 11 AM. After the show, Rage will visit the ENGL booth for a signing session, and Victor Smolski will do a solo performance there. RAGE guitarist VICTOR SMOLSKI's site has been updated with new MP3 files added to the MP3 section: 'Gentle Murders' from the new Rage album Carved In Stone, and 'Raven And Swan' from the upcoming Best Of album from MIND ODYSSEY, Victor's former band.

Rage's new album, Carved In Stone, will be issued by Nuclear Blast Europe on February 22nd. Victor Smolski and Rage have a new DVD, entitled "Full Moon in St. Petersburg", was released on February 23 via Nuclear Blast. The double DVD set was filmed in St. Petersburg, Russia last year in front of 15,000 fans.

Background:
Victor Smolski was born in 1969 in Minsk. The son of Professor Dmitry Smolski, one of the leaders of the Russian composers of the present time, he was easily drawn into the world of music studying the piano and cello when he was 6 years old.

Smolski awarded diplomas on playing rock and jazz guitar as well as on composing and arranging music. He has since completed a number of solo projects and worked with the band Rage. His playing his heavily classically inspired.
