Jeff Pilson has revealed to Ray Miller of Rock Biographer that the reactivated LYNCH MOB — featuring guitarist George Lynch and vocalist Oni Logan alongside legendary drummer Tommy Aldridge and bassist Marco Mendoza — will take part in this summer's CINDERELLA/WARRANT U.S. tour. "The LYNCH MOB is going out [on tour] by the way," Pilson said in an interview that was conducted last week. "They're going out this summer. It's going to be really cool because it is George and Oni as well as Tommy Aldridge and Marco Mendoza…it's just gonna be a great band…I mean it is going to be phenomenal. In fact, I'm excited to see it."

A new DVD from George Lynch: George demonstrates vibrato techniques, tapping, string skipping, whammy bar effects, and many of his favorite licks; he also teaches excerpts from some of his famous recorded solos.
The DVD features candid moments of George in a Los Angeles recording studio creating solo overdubs for the Lynch Mob debut album Wicked Sensation, and footage of George playing his great solo from "Street Fightin' Man." The accompanying PDF booklet features note-for-note transcriptions in standard music notation and TAB.

George Lynch and Alexi Laiho jamming at the ESP NAMM 2008. George Lynch has also teamed up with London LeGrand in a brand new band called SOULS OF WE. The group has spent the last three years working on its debut album, entitled "Let the Truth Be Known".

GUNS, and special guest Pat Travers took part in the Guitar Players Ball on January 17, 2008 at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, California. Dave Meniketti and Y&T performed first, followed by Tracii Guns and L.A. GUNS, with a special jam session by Pat Travers. Next was Gilby Clarke with a backing band and then Warren DeMartini with his band. The night finished with a performance by George Lynch and backing band, which ended with DeMartini, Clarke and Meniketti joining Lynch onstage for an all-star jam.

Kind of in the same vein as "Will Play For Food" and "Furious George", George Lynch's Guitar Slinger is a collection of cover tunes (both regular quality, and really raw demo material) which shows the ex-Dokken axeman can 'Lynchize' almost anything.
Lynch teams up with a bunch of different entities here, such as Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Stephen Percy (Ratt), Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns and Kelly Hansen (Foreigner), as he takes on three Scorpions tunes, Black Sabbath ("Paranoid"), Alice Cooper ("Billion Dollar Babies"), as well as some unreleased and live Dokken tunes. Two tracks from Lynch Mob ("Tangled In The Web", "Wicked Sensation") are also featured. Audio quality varies wildly, but to hear Lynch rocking like a hurricane is well worth it.

George Lynch is to Hold Two-Day Guitar Seminar In Los Angeles. Whether you're a beginning player or have already achieved shredder status as a guitarist, George Lynch knows that you always have room to improve. That's the idea behind his intensive guitar education program known as the George Lynch Dojo, a monthly instructional series that allows for students to take advantage of George's techniques via video, sound files, and formal music/tablature available at the guitarist's web site.
While the Dojo program's success is unarguable, sometimes the best instructional environment happens in a face-to-face setting. To facilitate this, Lynch has set up a two-day seminar and workshop scheduled for June 9-10, 2007, to be held at the Fourpoints (LAX) Sheraton hotel. Lynch will be on hand to host the event, which includes two days of guitar bedlam and instruction by Lynch himself as well as a team of well-known special guests and industry speakers. To accommodate multiple players of varying skill levels, the participants will be broken into smaller groups for individualized instruction.
"There's a responsibility for an artist to pass along his knowledge to new generations of players," said Lynch. "Our two-day seminar represents an excellent opportunity for guitarists to get an intense amount of knowledge put in front of them, in a way that they can count on will lead to their immediate improvement as a player and composer."
All amplification for the event is provided (as well as complete catering), but students are asked to bring their own guitars with them. Near the conclusion of the weekend, a "super jam" will be held, along with the presentation of certificates, swag, and a DVD of the event.

News with a bizarre twist as George Lynch finds his own guitar,"Graffiti Guitar", for sale on ebay. George says:
"The guitar I called 'Mr. Graffitti' was lost due to mysterious circumstances that involved some kind of theft. I have searched for this guitar and considered it a lost cause for the years since it has been gone. I was alerted to the sudden appearance of this guitar on eBay last night [Februrary 11, 2007] and after reading the ad for it, it is up for sale under equally suspicious circumstances, claiming it is up for auction by an anonymous third party.
I am in the process of involving law enforcement in getting it back. I saw the audacity and nerve of the seller's opening bid being at $6000.00 without any regard to how public this is and will be. What I am asking any of you who might be aware of who this is to please come forward with any information. It would be deeply appreciated."

Beckground:
George Lynch was born in 1954 and started out in northern California. He started guitar at the age of 10. His success came from being around the LA guitar scene, delivering hot guitar over the L.A. club circuit.
He got real attention when he joined Dokken. Dokken and Lynch recorded five highly successful albums from 1983 to 1988. George also recieved a Grammy nomination in 1989 for Best Rock Instrumental.
George left Dokken in 1989 and set up Lynch Mob, recording two albums with this band, He also started work on a solo "Sacred Groove", which features Derryl Gabel as special guest after winning a competition to play on the ablum.
Since then he has floated around between Dokken, Lynch Mob, Micro-Dot, Lynch Pilson and more recently completing the retro album, "Furious George".
