Adagio: dominate Paris

11-10-2007:
Guitarist Stéphan Forté of the French metallers ADAGIO has issued the following update:

"Well, that's it. Last week we played our last show for 'Dominate' album, and now it's time to finish 'Archangels in Black'. This tour has been awesome for ADAGIO, with very huge moments like touring in Japan for the first time and playing Tunisia again along with FIREWIND and AFTER FOREVER.

"A new chapter is starting now and that means next tour will be totally different, and will probably start around April/May 2008 for the release of 'Archangels in Black'.

"I would also like to take the opportunity of this message to thank Thomas and KAMELOT for their great kindness during the last shows we did together. They are incredible guys, awesome performers on stage and very talented musicians. They have treated us like very few bands does, and we sincerely wish them lots of fun for their actual Japanese tour with FIREWIND. Hope to share the stage with you guys again very soon!!"

Oct. 02 - Lyon - Transbordeur - France (w/ KAMELOT)

Adagio recently entered the studio to record its fourth album, entitled "Archangels in Black". According to a posting on the group's official web site, the overall vibe of the tracks like "Archangels in Black", "Undead", "The Fear Circus" and "Twilight At Dawn" is "very dark and massive. The band came back to a more orchestral style of composition but kept the heaviness of songs like 'Dominate' or 'Children of the Dead Lake' from the previous album released in 2005 in Japan."

12-06-2007:
Stephan Forte and his band Adagio will team up with Finland's Korpiklaani for a short tour of Japan in September. Confirmed dates are as follows:
Sep. 12 - Tokyo, JPN - Club Quattro

24-11-2006:
Stephan Forte has set up Sanctusignis publishing:
"This company has been created by Stephan Forté in 2006 for the Adagio album "Dominate" Publishing is a pretty difficult area of music business, and after three albums working with another company, Stephan has decided to "make a try" and develop a more personal way to collect the publishing rights in a Heavy Metal context. Often let aside, publishing is an important aspect of a band career and a huge source of financial gains. The role of the publisher is still today misunderstood by many bands, and as a consequence they loose a lot of money, rights and exposure. As an example, your album is released in Japan, one of your song is played on the radio in the context of promotion; 1- You don’t even know it has been played on the radio 2- You do not know how to recollect those rights 3- You loose money Since the "try" have been successful in terms of logistic, administration and royalties recollection, Stephan has finally decided to open Sanctusignis publishing to other talented heavy metal bands. Here are few key actions belonging to the publisher role: - Promote your songs by sending it to many different medias (radio, television, …) Instead of having your songs inactive, the role of the publisher is to make them aired. - Recollects the rights for you worldwide. Whether you songs are played in Japan, USA, Europe, Australia or wherever, it’s our role to give the calls, send the mails and fight for your royalties. - Royalties are also of course earned for each album you’ve sold, It’s our role to know the exact amount of albums that have been sold everywhere and to recollect the real amount of royalties. - Once you’ve signed with a publisher, you do not have to care anymore about what to do with your songs. You compose, you tour, …we will take care of it , and send you clear statements with details. The goal of Sanctusignis publishing is to work for talented bands or artists, if you feel some of your songs are hits, we want to hear from you !!"
