A cool thanks to Treetopper, Todd Duane for getting some time away from serious family duties to record this super hot 50 second clip on YouTube!! Another bench mark player for young players!

Todd Says:
I'm just jamming and trying not to make too many mistakes. Killer amp! My Les Paul volume knob is rolled back and my M90 is at a lower volume than the other M90 legato lick here on YouTube. I use my own technique of holding the strings above the string I'm currently on with a hybrid pick technique for clarity. Check my instructional video at toddduane.com Oh- I'm tuned down a half step in the video so it sounds in F minor.

Background:
Todd Duane was one of the first wave of uber shredders. He initially started as a trumpet player, for which he won a number of awards. He is now an all round musician, playing drums, bass and "faking" insane keyboard licks.

After teaching and gigging for two years Todd attended the Guitar Institute of Technology. At GIT, Todd studied with Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, Jeff Berlin , Scott Henderson and others.

His incendiary demos, raised his profile around the world as an inventive palyaer and eventually lead to his debut solo record on Shrapnel Records.

Phi Yaan Zek managed to get Todd Duane invited to become the Head of the Rock Guitar department at The American Institute of Music, located in Vienna, Austria. He stayed there for 2 years then moved back to Minnesota to teach at Music Tech of Minneapolis.
