Ty Oliver has announced that he has signed a new endorsement deal with guitar string makers Sfarzo. According to Ty, "

Sfarzo offers a wide variety of sets from 7 string Guitar, Bass, Acoustic, and even Classical. All made right here in the U.S. I'm currently using their Regular Lite Gauge 9-46 SFT Screamers, and Super Screamers."

Ty Oliver is very happy to announce that after several delays, and a lot of hard work, the new CD is almost finished! It's currently being Mastered, and Ty Oliver is aiming to have new tracks in the MySpace player by next month (Feb 2008) with a planned Spring 08' release.

As I've mentioned before, there will be some very cool guest solo's by some of Ty Oliver's favorite players on the track "Space Jam" Matt Cafissi, Neil Rambaldi, and Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth all contribute some killer lead work to this special track, very cool! The new songs will also feature current and past live band members, and are a much more accurate reflection of Ty Oliver's playing today, as opposed to "Healed Through Time" which was mostly written and recorded before 2003.
New Gear, new Tones, the best is yet to come!

Ty Oliver talks about his new CD.

I'm very happy to report that recording sessions for the new CD will be resuming in the next few weeks! I'm very excited, as the new material is going to be the best yet. There's going to be some guest solo's in the mix by fellow Instrumental guitarists Matt Cafissi, and Neil Rambaldi. As well as Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth. Very cool stuff!!

As many of you know, I had begun recording a brand new CD last fall, with plans to have it released this past spring. Long story short, the label I had signed with turned out to be a big dissapointment. I parted ways with them in December. This unfortunately put the new recording on hold, until now! Recording will resume shortly. I won't have anything new in the player for a few months, so please have patience. The best is yet to come my friends!!

Background:
Ty Oliver is another artist concentrating on song orientated guitar being inspired by Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. Following a six months break from guitar Ty decided to fllow the instrumnetal path at the end of 2001. The break enabled him to focus on guitar and he spent the next 2 years were writing and recording, leading to the release of the CD "Healed Through Time".
