Jennifer Batten film maker contest for new DVD:
Jennifer Batten is hosting a film contest to come up with 9 films for each of the tracks on her new CD which will be out next year on Steve Vai's Favored Nations record label. Jennifer Batten want's to release a DVD version of the CD with a film for each song. This will also include a self filmed interview with each filmographer. Jennifer Batten will also be doing a multi media tour featuring these films as she performs.

Jennifer's track "whammy damage" from "above, below, and beyond" CD will be released on November 1st, in a new cd project called "La Guitara" a CD which features 14 female guitarists. She is also working on a third solo CD due for release in early 2006.

Background
Jennifer was born in New York and moved to California when she was 9. She is recognised for her two handed technique which she learned from GIT classmate, Steve Lynch (Autograph). Jennifer read Steve's book from cover to cover and memorized it before experimenting on her own style.
Her ability has made her a very popular player, which culminated in her winning the coverted slot as guitarist Michael Jackson's band. She toured the world for 1 1/2 years playing for over 4.5 million people on his first solo tour. She also joined Michael for "Dangerous Tour" and '97's "HIS tory Tour" and "Bad Tour".
She recorded "Above, Below, and Beyond" with Michael Sembello and "Jennifer Batten's Tribal Rage".
Jeff Beck asked Jennifer to join his band and she spent 3 years recording and touring in support of his recent CD's.
