Background:
Richie Kotzen was born in Pennsylvania. He started electric guitar from the age of 7. He formed his first band at the age of 12 performing live around Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.

Richie was picked up in Mike Varneys spotlight column abd when he was 18 he went San Francisco to record his forst album with Shrapnel Records.

He went on to record three records Shrapnel before reinvigourating multi platinum
metal poison. He recorded and toured with the band releasing one CD and hit single "Stand". He went on again as a solo arti releasing material through Shrapnel,
Geffen, and JVC.

His talent is so great that he was invited by jazz legend Stanley Clarke to form the band Vertu, recording a self-titled cd for Sony and touring Europe playing jazz festivals.

Te then went on to join Mr Big writing and recording 2 studio records and number one hit single shine. Mr Big split (hurrah) and RK went back to making solo records. If you get a change you must seee this player live!!
