Background:
Benoît Toquet was born in 1980 in Brest, France. He got into guitar from the age of 12. He too kelssons at the Centre de création musicale in Brest. Then he continued practising guitars on his own during severals years. Early influences included Metallica, Iron Maiden and Joe Satriani.
He developed his experience in several bands which were playing different types of music: Bad Grass (pop), Tellfast (pop), Kallran (heavy) and then with his latest band Lux Aeterna.
He went on to take sports studies at the University in Brest, but then transfered to the University in Rennes to study music. Benoit was interested in the classical music of Beethoven and Liszt. The music period which he prefers is the romantic period and he is also interested in John William’s and Danny Elfman’s music.
