fusion solo - davide pagano

14-12-2007:
Davide Pagano has been very busy in the last days and weeks working on his up coming CD. Judging from what I've heard already this CD is going to be super cool. The good news for guitar fans is he has had some time to add a snippet from an intro track that will be on the CD. The track has a cool 11/16 time signature... his drummer spent several hours in recording studio to record the track!

A new web site look and feel and this DAvide Pageno has posted the first in a series of guitar lessons, highlighting his sophisticated syncopation and two hand technique delivering some super cool tapping licks. You can get the tab for the lesson from Davide's web site: http://www.davidepagano.com/. Davide's CD "Walking on a border line" is on my list of must have upcoming CD's!

Background:
Davide born in 1981 in Italy. He started out playing guitar at the age of 14 taking private rock lessons with Italian guitarist E. Maggio. After some years of hard guitar study Davide discovered the power of jazz and fusion music.

His influences included: Pat Metheny, Frank Gambale, Tribal Tech, Allan Holdswoth and Greg Howe. Listening to these players forced Davide to improve his knowledge about these genres. He decided to get private jazz private lessons for a year and after that attending a conservatory jazz course. His studies helped him to develop his "fusion" phrasing and improvisation techniques.

From the age of 20 to 22, Davide studied rock guitar with O Di Dio at the Lizard Academy (Same school as Danielle Gottardo).

Davide is collaborating on a lot of musical projects from rock to jazz and now he is working on his first solo CD entitled "Walking on a border line". The CD release is set for in 2007.
