If you like super 7 string shredding look no further...go to MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/adrianenglish

Background:
Adrian English is a super hot 7 string shredder originally from Hawaii. Adrian has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old. His first inspiration was being woken and hearing Eddie Van Halens “Eruption” in the middle of the night on his stereo.

At the age of thirteen, Adrian got guitar tutorship from Frank Paulino. Frank exposed Adrian to the newly formed Shrapnel players. He recalls listening to Marty Friedman and being blown away. He also listened to Shawn Lane's insane chops.

Adrian relocated to Las Vegas in 1990, meeting his best friend Tony Lopez. They formed a guitar duo and Jamie Borden. The band submitted their first demo to Mike Varney and Adrian then appeared in Mike's Spotlight column in June 1993. HE started correspondence with Niel Austin (friend of Matt Williams) and the G-force magazine in the UK. I recall Matt sending me some demos from these sessions on tape.

At that time Adrian was listening to players like Michael Romeo from Symphony X, Rob Johnson, Tony Fredianelli, Toby Napp.

After a musical hiatus Adrian is now back in the loop and starting work on heavy projects with Apocrypha drummer, Mike Poe. He also now a big fan of dropped D 7 heavyness of and string shredding. He's Currently looking for a bass player and vocalist for the band.

Influences include George Lynch, Warren de Martini, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ron Thal, Todd Duane, Buckethead, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Frank Paulino, Jason Becker, Shawn Lane Tony MacAlpine, Greg Howe, Apocrypha... Check out his web site for the full list!

  1. I have seen Adrian English SHRED LIKE HELL in Las Vegas and at the Hard Rock in San Diego. I've seen him take Las Vegas by storm and take the State Championships. He almost took the Nationals in San Diego at the Hard Rock. He is truley the most intense, inovative and professional Guitarist of our times. Adrian English is the X man or Guitarist. To listen to his crystal clear clean sweep finger SHREDDING on a seven string Guitar is an Eruption or your audio senses, taking you and otrher guitarist to a more challenging height of perfection, and is deffinetly faster and more inovative than his influencives. I am surprised he hasn't been signed to a major recording label yet.
