The course
What is common amongst all blues/rock guitar greats is their creativity. Think of Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, Brian May and many others. All have excelled at creating riffs, licks and solos that have grasped the imagination of music fans everywhere. If you are looking to the next level for your playing and want new approaches for creativity this very special Blues Rock weekend is essential.
Alongside respected players and tutors Neville Marten and Jason Sidwell, GuitarBreak is proud to announce Guthrie Govan as guest tutor. Guthrie has taught at three previous Guitar Break events (both over subscribed!) and proved extremely popular with students keen on getting the best tuition around.
Needless to say, booking early is essential if you want unique insights from one of the world’s most outrageous and versatile guitarists!
During the weekend, there will be copious amounts of technique, theory and playing from tutors all rooted in real world applications. Of course, you’ve come to play too so there will be many chances for you to try out the new ideas in informal jam scenarios.
While there will be handouts given out, Guitar Break’s policy of seeing what students want will make the day unique and well suited to dealing with your own playing hurdles and aspirations!

The course consists of two full days (10am-5pm) of first class tuition from Neville, Jason & Guthrie, all-day refreshments*, lunch, evening meal on Saturday and all your course materials. find out more
