Paul Gilbert,Freddie Nelson: metalichika in full transcribing mode

“John: And now you’re currently working on your solo album?

Freddie: I’m working on a solo album now, yeah, and I’m probably going to release that in Japan, Europe, and I don’t know about The States… hopefully The States.”

“John: With your band now – is that called Too Tall Jones? Or is that project over as well?

Freddie: Well, Too Tall Jones wasn’t really a band. It was more of a (project – ed.). I had a bunch of songs, and there was a country artist named Ford Thurston. (that) had a bunch of songs, and we kind-of went into the studio, and just kind-of put eachother’s flavor on what we had. I think we used probably 5 or 6 different drummers, and 3 or 4 different bass players. At the tail end, we brought in Patrick Norman, who’s the bass player for Rusted Root. He’s just an incredibly talented guy. Great player, singer, just a first-class human being. And we wrote a couple of songs with him, and then we put a band together, which included Ford, myself, Patrick, and Ronnie … who is now playing with Vertical Horizon, I believe. “ Iron city podcast
