I remember watching the VHS version on my TV. It’s one of those maddening videos, because although Alan is amazingly humble, and the music is good, the instruction is awful.
ReplyDeleteI always wished Alan would ditch the “I don’t like playing guitar” routine and just pass on some of his knowledge. Like, how did he develop his technique (in detail, with respect to legato, esp. since he didn’t always play that way)? The “humility" and self-denigration make learning from Alan next to impossible.
