Here is my very quick entry for the Mayones competition. It's all a wee bit last minute as I had to rush to a gig. It was jolly fun though.
Mayones Guitar/Rob Chappers competition
After several lineup changes, Kummerer enlisted a new team of virtuoso musicians. Late 2007, OBSCURA added drummer Hannes Grossmann (ex-NECROPHAGIST) and fretless bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling (ex-PESTILENCE) as new permanent members. The group's latest addition, guitarist Christian Muenzner (ex-NECROPHAGIST), came into the ranks early 2008.buy

Together they create their vision of the future of extreme metal. A symbiosis of death, thrash and black metal merged with progressive elements and technical as well as compositional demand. OBSCURA released it’s second full-length album 'COSMOGENESIS' in early 2009 via Relapse Records. The CD features guest appearances from Ron Jarzombek (SPASTIC INK, BLOTTED SCIENCE) and Tymon Kruidenier (CYNIC). OBSCURA embarked on their first-ever North American tour in April 2009 alongside CANNIBAL CORPSE. :.
Gibbons received perhaps the highest blessing a musician could receive, when, as a young man fronting his first band, The Moving Sidewalks, he opened shows for the one and only Jimi Hendrix. Not only was Hendrix impressed by the teenaged Texan's command of the six string, but he called him "America's best young guitar player."
"When you've got the man who practically invented or reinvented what the electric guitar can do say such wonderful things about you, you have a responsibility to wear that title with pride and dignity" Billy Gibbons on Jimi Hendrix
"Truly heady stuff," says Gibbons. "And when you've got the man who practically invented or reinvented what the electric guitar can do say such wonderful things about you, you have a responsibility to wear that title with pride and dignity.
"The last thing you want to do is let a guy like Jimi down. I hope he's looking down at me and still feeling good about the mighty honor he bestowed upon me."

A special ‘Steve Vai’ award category was created, to be judged by none other than Mr Vai himself.
Steve Vai chose Daniel as his winner after watching live footage of the competition broadcast on licklibrary.com, and was' blown away' by Daniele's playing on the track 'Cardiology' which he deemed worthy of the special prize; an Ibanez Jem signed by Steve.
After watching the contestants, Steve said "There is a whole new breed of guitar players emerging. Players that are redefining the parameters of guitar virtuosity. It was a pleasure to judge the Guitar Idol contest and see many of these young innovators in action."

I’ve always been hugely influenced by Santana. I’ve been working on this record for a while now. I’ve been so busy touring that I haven’t been able to designate a whole clump of time to do it. I dove in between things and it’s taken a long time to get it finished. I’m happy it’s finally out there.full interview
I’ve always wanted to do solo records. I need that creative outlet. When I started writing for it, my only plan was to be adventurous, let the music flow and go in any direction I wanted. When I did the record, I had no record label--I did it all myself. I presented the label with a finished copy. I think this is important because it made me feel like I was totally free to do anything I wanted musically. I’m into a lot of different styles of music and I wanted all that to come out. I think this is probably the most versatile record I’ve done and shows more of what I do as an artist.
The experience of having been able to work directly with Michael Jackson is certainly among the all time top "Thrillers" for me. I have no doubt that in overstating the following understatement, I speak for many when I say "He will be missed".feedback

The first round of voting is ready now on my forum!
I have been keeping a spreadsheet with all the requests from my minions, and have made a few changes to concept 1. Firstly It seems not many people liked the reverse tele headstock, so I have reverted back to standard Strat shape... I like both styles so not an issue for me. Secondly it turns out that it cost the same to get a hardtail as a trem, and since I always use a trem and block it off it makes sense to have a trem and provide a magical block Quite a few guys wanted inlays so I have decided to use them on this "Affordable" model, the ebony board will come with black inlays.
I would like you all to vote on your favorite one of these models below, and also could you say if you prefer Zebra or covered pups please. So for example:
"Hi my name is jaffacake I like number 4 best and I would prefer a zebra pup"
This is the penultimate vote (One more round after this) so each one will really help me, please spread this message around and get as many dudes to vote as possible Each guitar will come with a Monkey Lord sticker and a 30 minute tuition video from the Monkey Lord.
Cheer guys, and as always keep the ideas flowing. If you want to pre-order just contact Barnes & Mullins direct through the website http://www.bandm.co.uk/
Vote on my signature guitar now!
