Alex Lifeson: The Gibson Interview

It would be so easy for a guitar player to disappear in a trio like Rush. Fronting the band is the man-siren shriek and thundering bass of Geddy Lee. Propelling things from behind is, quite possibly, the greatest rock drummer of all time, Neil Peart. So, a mere mortal might just be inclined shrivel up and play barre chords. But Alex Lifeson has always been up to the challenge. From the crashing riffs of “Working Man” and “Passage to Bangkok” to the searing leads of “Limelight” and “The Main Monkey Business,” he has always represented the cutting edge of rock guitar. Alex recently visited the Gibson Custom Factory and sat down with Gibson.com.
