Harry Kapeliaris 9 (CD)
A follow up to his recent CDs "Return" and "Journey To Light", Greek guitarist Harry Kapeliaris' fusion of rock, jazz, funk and shredded licks, is his 2010 release, entitled 9. Loaded with guest musicians, the CD features contributions by pianist Chris Basios, bassist Theodoros Kouelis and drummer Theodor Goumas, among others. The opening track and "Day And Night" are bass and guitar melodic forays, while "Skeptic" is an ethnically oriented piece with vox humana by Spiros Siolos. "Friday Morning" is a Steely Dan like track with brilliant soloing, while "Free" adds up-tempo rock influences to the party.
