There's no pretension but purely enjoyment of musical expression and freedom. Daniel Realpe is a recognized metal/rock guitarist from Colombia, winner of the “Best Guitarist” Subterránica award in 2008. With over 12 years of experience playing the guitar and playing with many bands including the Colombian band Ethereal with whom he toured South America through countries such as Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina in 2008 and Hiddenpath the band in which he creates and produces the music entirely. Hiddenpath was the band chosen by Mike Portnoy, drummer for Dream Theater to open for them in Bogotá in 2008. Hiddenpath has been the opening act for Symphony x in 2007. Daniel Realpe was chosen to play with guitarist Kiko Loureiro on the Guitar Fest in Bogotá in 2008. Hiddenpath were the winners for “Best progressive metal band” on the Subterránica awards in 2008. Daniel was chosen as one of the 12 finalists worldwide for the contest Guitar Idol in the UK. The final was held june 13th 2009 in London.
