News: Orange and Intel 2011 Superstars Competition

Orange Amplification are proud to announce they are co-sponsors of the Intel 2011 Superstars Competition, with the revolutionary musicians' personal computer, the OPC, forming part of the $35,000 prize fund.

The Intel Corporation and Ourstage.com along with sponsors Orange Amps, Cake Walk, Gibson Guitars and Blue Microphones, have got together to launch an exciting competition for emerging artists. The Intel Superstars competition invites musicians and producers to submit original music to one of six genres: Rock, Pop Country, Singer-Songwriter, Urban and Latin. All submissions will be ranked by fans using the patented judging technology, OurStage, with prize packages being awarded to the First Place winners in each category. Plus, one Grand Prizewinner will be selected by a panel of industry experts from amongst the top ten overall ranked artists.

The Intel Core i7 processor-based Orange Amps OPC is the one-stop shop for musicians who want to play, record and edit their music using one piece of equipment with full computing and amplification capabilities. All you need to do is plug it in, play, record and share. The OPC along with Cakewalk’s SONAR X1 Production Suite Software, Gibson’s USA Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute Darkback Guitar and Blue Microphones’ Yeti Pro USB mic, form the bases of the prize packages. In addition, the Grand Prizewinner will receive $10,000 in cash to help them record, tour, or buy further equipment. Plus, one lucky fan who voted in the competition will win a Gibson USA Firebird X Guitar in a prize draw. For more details go to http://www.ourstage.com/go/prizelist2011
