The TC Electronic Spark Booster has 3 different modes, Clean, Fat and Mid for totally different types of boost. The Clean is obviously a clean boost, the Fat and Mid have slightly different EQ characters and help push a clean amp into overdrive or create a solo tone from a crunch tone.
