London’s Southbank Centre to host Institute’s 2012 Graduation Ceremony

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is proud to announce its 2012 Graduation Ceremony will be held at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank on Saturday 3rd November 2012.
The Southbank Centre is one of the largest arts centres in the world, occupying a 21-acre site in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. The site consists of the Royal Festival Hall, the Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and the Saison Poetry Library.
The Institute already has a great history of hosting its Graduation Ceremony at some impressive venues in including the Shepherds Bush Empire and Indigo2 at the Millennium Dome. This will be the first year the Institute has used the famous Southbank Centre and is the direct result of the school’s ever-enhancing reputation within the academic sector. Now providing a range of BA, BMus and MMus courses for contemporary musicians, the Institute continues to develop its standing as an internationally recognised school of modern music.
As well as this year’s graduates receiving their awards, the event will see acoustic performances from a selection of student artists. There will be special awards for students who have earned particular recognition, and a keynote address from a guest speaker tbc. More details are yet to be confirmed, but it’s guaranteed to be a high quality celebration.
