ANIMALS AS LEADERS ANNOUNCE UPCOMING INTERNATIONAL TOUR DATES



Groundbreaking progressive instrumentalist act ANIMALS AS LEADERS will support the progressive metal act Between the Buried and Me -- with whom they have previously toured in both America and Europe -- on their upcoming international tour. Beginning Nov. 13, the bands will play throughout each major city in Australia and will commence in New Zealand. Before heading to Australia, the band will also headline the Rock Party Festival in Long Beach, Calif. on Sept. 29. Full dates can be found below.

ANIMALS AS LEADERS guitarist Tosin Abasi was recently seen featured on the cover of Guitar World alongside the legendary guitar hero Steve Vai, who has called the band "the future of heavy creative virtuoso guitar." Their latest critically acclaimed release, "Weightless," reached #92 on the Billboard Top 200 and was praised by Alternative Press for its "intricate picking, lurching chords, and searing melodic leads."

By popular demand, we've repressed "Weightless" on vinyl. As with the first pressing, this LP features a custom die-cut jacket featuring the circular AAL logo and a printed inner sleeve. Available on white (328 pieces), grey marble (157 pieces) and 180-gram black vinyl (541 pieces). The first pressing sold out almost immediately last fall, and we've been asked for months if we'd do a second pressing, so here it is.

Weightless is the second album by instrumental progressive metal group Animals as Leaders. It was released on November 8, 2011 in the US, November 4, 2011 in Europe, and November 7, 2011 in the UK by Prosthetic Records.[1] The album charted at #92 on Billboards Top 200 Chart, as well as #7 on Billboards Top Hard Music Chart, #16 on their Top Independent Album Chart and #50 on the Top Current Digital Album Chart.[2]
