Marco Sfogli: Neon Karma - Enemy Gate - cool new project

You flip Marco, Roberto and Lorenzo Feliciati Gualdi, real virtuosos from our own, have created this project called Neon Karma prog. First chapter of this musical journey is this song called Gate Enemy recorded live at Jungle Sound Station Milano. The audio mix was edited by Alessandro Marcantoni at Metropolis Studio, editing video is edited by Milkit Video Production.

Neon Karma - Sfogli, Gualdi, Feliciati - Enemy Gate

Lorenzo Feliciati interviewed in Chitarre Future projects?

I just got back from New York where I recorded the material for the new album of Naked Truth. We worked at Bill Laswell's studio and it was a really emotional to record in a place where so many discs that mean a lot to me were recorded. Then, a new project I believe a lot in: the Neon Karma Trio with Marco Sfogli and Roberto Gualdi: intense prog metal, very precise but definitely very fun to play. Soon we will release our first CD! more

Some fingerpractice a few years ago. Was fun to learn and quite difficult to play - Njoy!
(for those who are curious: Guitar has 32 frets. That means it has a range of 3 octaves per string while the last 3 frets are spaced as wholetones. Low B-String is fretless and i usually use a bass string for it

Brian May: Queen to play Sonisphere

QUEEN are to return to play a second concert at the venue that provided them with the setting for one of their biggest and most historic concerts.

QUEEN’s Brian May and Roger Taylor have confirmed the band will headline the second day of SONISPHERE appearing on the APOLLO stage on Saturday July 7. KNEBWORTH was the setting for QUEEN’s final concert with Freddie Mercury in August 1986.

May and Taylor also confirmed that for this very special event they will be joined by US singer-songwriter ADAM LAMBERT.

The potent chemistry between QUEEN and Lambert broke the surface when at the invitation of Brian May and Roger Taylor, Lambert joined them for the closing showcase at the recent MTV Europe Awards where QUEEN were present to collect their Global Icon award.

Says Brian May: “Judging by my incoming mail, this decision will make a lot of people very happy. It’s a worthy challenge for us, and I’m sure Adam would meet with Freddie’s approval! And what better place to revisit, and walk those emotional paths than Knebworth? It will be a rush.”

Adam Ironside: Cosmology classic progressive rock

Adam Ironside: My first ever album for release early 2012. It has been a long, rocky road full of blood, sweat and tears but finally it is ready. I think most questions will be answered in the above video. Thankyou for all of your support, interest and nagging for me to get this album to the stage of completion. It is something I am truly proud of and I hope you enjoy it!

I – Cosmology
II – String Theory
III – A Message From Earth
IV – A Message From Space
V – S.E.T.I
VI – Man’s Greatest Machines
VII – Are We Alone?

Adam Ironside: Cosmology

Mini review: Adam Ironside has put together a progressive rock fusion album in the truest sense of the word. There is a fine blend of keyboard sound scapes and Adam's rich and warm guitar tones. There is a theme based approach, inter-weaved with catchy melodies, giving the album a film score like feeling, punctuated by classy soloing, nothing over the top, all considered and fitting with the overall feel of the track.  Overall I would recommend this to fans of progressive guitar music, certainly a grower!

John Houghton recording the 2nd/harmony take of the outro guitar solo for 'Of Forgotten And Stricken Souls' at 3am in Bonafide Studios, London, back in May!
This was the only video we recorded unfortunately!
The modulation/chorus type sound is due to the video and track audio being out of sync.

Carlos Santana: Live Blu-Ray DVD details

Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Santana Live At Montreux 2011 on a two-DVD set and Blu-ray in a exhilarating set of jazz, Latin, funk, soul and rock 'n' roll. The 23-song show weighs heavily on the side of the songs that fans of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist (inducted in 1998) have loved over the years. [MSRP $17.98 for 2DVD, $19.98 for Blu-ray]
Filmed in high-definition and recorded in DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital 5.1 and LPCM Stereo, it's a total jam-packed evening of percolating percussion, soaring lead guitar solos and the kind of funky bass/drum action that has kept this band in the forefront of popular music for over 40 years.
Live At Montreux 2011 is a career-spanning show that covers all the bases: from Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va," Fleetwood Mac's "Black Magic Woman," Babatunde Olatunji's "Jingo" and Willie Bobo's "Evil Ways" to John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme." Carlos Santana has always had a knack for making his cover versions become spectacularly his own. His interpretive flair reached its zenith with 2010's Guitar Heaven which contains his scintillating take on Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love." Add his numerous originals, including "Smooth" and "Maria Maria," his signature style of inspired and spiritual guitar playing and you have the kind of DVD that burns with intensity.
Extras include interviews with Carlos and Cindy Blackman Santana, and a very special peek behind-the-scenes. Guest artists include the husband/wife guitar team of Susan Tedeschi and Allman Brother Derek Trucks as well as drummer/wife Cindy Blackman Santana. Over three hours long, this is the Santana concert his fans have been waiting for!
