This lesson demonstrates how you could play a solo using mostly chord tones over a I,IV, V progression In this case we are in the key of G and the progression is as follows:
G7X2, C7x2,D7 x2 and G7 x2.

Of course there are other notes that can be played over these chords but knowing your chord tones well can help you creating lines and phrases that work over chords and imply the sound of the chord you are playing.
