Chris Letchford,Travis Levrier: Odyssey - Scale The Summit

“Odyssey,” the new single from progressive instrumentalists SCALE THE SUMMIT, is available now on iTunes and Bandcamp, in addition to streaming on YouTube. The song — the opening track of the band’s new album, “The Migration,” due out June 11 — will also be made available immediately to anyone who pre-orders the album digitally. Customers who pre-order CDs, LPs and merch bundles from the Prosthetic webshop, meanwhile, will receive a download code as soon as possible after relaying their order confirmation numbers; more details are availablehere.

“The Migration” will be released June 11 on digital download, CD (the booklet for which folds out into a large poster featuring extended artwork by cover illustrator Duncan Storr) and 180-gram LP. The LP — available on clear vinyl or a limited-edition, mail-order exclusive clear vinyl with blue haze — includes a download card and a gatefold poster also featuring album artwork.

Recorded at North Carolina’s Basement Studios with Jamie King (BTBAM, He Is Legend, For Today), “The Migration” is the follow-up to 2011′s “The Collective,” dubbed “essential prog” by Guitar World and supported by tours alongside the likes of Periphery, Cynic, Fair To Midland, The Contortionist, The Human Abstract, Protest The Hero and Trioscapes. SCALE THE SUMMIT will kick off “The Migration” touring cycle this summer, when they hit the road with Intronaut; full dates can be found below.
