Guitar Builder Goes Big: Unexpectedly High Demand Prompts GJ2 Guitars To Expand Facilities

Laguna Hills, CA — Orange County-based guitar maker GJ2 Guitars has expanded its headquarters to meet increased demand by adding a fourth unit, bringing its total space to over 10,000 square feet.

GJ2 added space to its current paint facility building—which now includes assembly, quality control, packing and shipping— to accommodate the need for greater production capacity.

CEO Jon Gold explains the reason GJ2 decided to expand sooner than expected: “Our sales started to escalate dramatically during the fourth quarter of 2012 and we could foresee the need for far higher levels of production. But even with projected increases, the incredible success of our new Glendora model at January’s NAMM Show made the need for additional space greater and more immediate than we could have anticipated. As it turns out, the opportunity to extend our facilities couldn’t have come at a better time.”
