Strongly influenced by Dream Theater, Angra and Pain of Salvation the Silver Lake began in 2007 to compose original music. The first self-titled album was released in 2011 by SG Records and sound sas a typical progressive / power metal, with rocky but not aggressive guitars. "Silver Lake" was recorded at Fear Studio in Ravenna and Milu's Rock Lab II in Fabbrico, under the supervision of Simone Mularoni (DGM, Empyrios), Michele Luppi (Secret Sphere) and Gabriele Ravaglia. Just these three artists appear as special guests on the album.

The second Silver Lake album, "Every Shape and Size" was released in 2013 by SG Records again and it’s the dark successor of the band’s first studio chapter. It was recorded between September and October 2012 at Domination Studio, always with the friend / producer Simone Mularoni.
