Inner City - by Matt Raines

Inner City is the latest release from guitarist Matt Raines. Many of you may know him from his many years as a veteran of the East Coast jazz scene. Others may remember him from various rock and fusion bands. If you have not heard Matt Raines play the guitar, you should do yourself a favor and buy this CD. This recording showcases Matt's composition, lyrical playing and excellent sense of feel and dynamics-and did I mention possibly the most flawless technique you may have ever heard? Although Inner City can be categorized as "smooth jazz", these songs are deep and interesting with incredible performances from Matt as well as saxophone player Dave Guidi.
