The Gittler guitar received patent 4079652 back in 1978 and there are now nearly a dozen new patents pending on the revitalized and re-imagined Gittler of 2013.
Gittler Guitar - But can it SHRED? NAMM 2013
Sadly, Allan is no longer with us but Jonathan, his son and heir is a partner in our renewed enterprise. There were a great many challenges facing us when we undertook this effort. We wanted to maintain the clean, minimalist design and smooth features, while at the same time offering greatly improved functionality. The guitar was already a noteworthy industrial design that was a very capable musical instrument. Our goal was to take every aspect of it and offer some degree of improvement so that, when we were all done, we could look on our work and marvel at it's technical prowess. It's beauty would be without measure but we wanted a guitar that wouldn't stop at just turning heads. We wanted to achieve the supreme expession of our engineering abilities and make something that guitarists would be excited to utilize as their primary axe.
After three years of labor and research we are ready, with your help, to cut a wide path for the Gittler brand. We have most major Guitar magazines ready to review our instrument and we are excited to bring it to the world as a fully realized concept and not just a prototype with extraordinary potential. We own a fully integrated machine shop and we have partnered with the best Electronics and assembly plant in the Northeast Corridor. Gittler Instruments LLC is poised to make a bold and aggressive entrance into the musical instrument world....and it all starts here!
