Check out Rob's TrueFire .com online classroom 'Guitar Babylon' for interactive guitar lessons-https://truefire.com/classrooms/sherp...
In this lesson Rob explains one method of playing sweep picked arpeggios, using chord shapes, raking the pick through the strings hitting one note at a time before changing direction. Using this many sweep arpeggios is great for an exercise and to practice, but remember to mix things up and be tasteful when you're out playing! ;)
Examples of musicians that incorporate sweep picking include Frank Gambale, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen and many more.
Gear: Tom Anderson, Wampler, Fender, Boss.
