Eric Maldonado: Hands To The Sky - original composition - promo video

Hands To The Sky • Eric Maldonado (Instrumental Guitar)
I think this is the first full original song I've ever uploaded to YouTube. Crazy to think about! Well, regardless of how long it took to finally get one up, I'm happy to share my music with you now. This one's called Hands To The Sky.

Influence for this one is all over the place. Musically, guitarists like Neil Zaza, Neal Schon, and Andy Timmons/artists like Chris Tomlin, Kristian Stanfill and the Passion stuff come to mind. On a deeper level, it's called "Hands To The Sky" which is a metaphor for praising God. I've made it a staple in my life to make every victory and loss, big or small, positive or negative, a praise to God - with my hands to the sky. Living in the moment, making the best of the situation and not letting the environment dictate me. That's something most people forget to do, so hopefully this song can be a reminder of that :) I really enjoy the chord progressions of this song, though they are quite simple. I have been thinking of doing an acoustic version only because these chords sound great when they ring out. So that might pop up sometime soon.

I played everything on this tune and programmed a fair amount of things as well. If you have any questions about any of that, just ask! :) The guitar in this video is my Fernandes Revolver Classic.

Lastly, if you would like the tab for this song, I will be releasing it once it hits 50 likes here on YouTube. So be sure to like, comment, and share to spread it around and get the tab sooner! :D

Thanks for listening! Expect at least 2 more originals this summer!
