"R30" was filmed on Rush's 30th Anniversary tour in 2004 on September 24 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt. The R30 concerts showcased the band's entire career with tracks from the early seventies onwards. The show was originally released worldwide in 2005 and then in HD in North America only in 2009. Eight tracks were cut from the show for the 2005 release. These were then added back in for the North American HD release but this contained no bonus features. Now for the first time we are releasing a HD version which contains the full show and over 2 hours of bonus material that originally featured on a second disc in the 2005 release set to give the most complete version of R30 possible. Out Nov 4th

Features a wealth of Rush classics including "Tom Sawyer", "The Spirit Of Radio", "Subdivisions", "The Trees", "Red Sector A", "Red Barchetta", "Limelight", "La Villa Strangiato", "Roll The Bones", "One Little Victory", "Animate", "2112", "Xanadu" and more!

Tom Geldschläger: Back to recording the new Fountainhead EP

Fountainhead
Back to recording the new Fountainhead EP after the holidays. Last time I used quite a lot of different axes, some borrowed and some my own - this time all the fretted stuff is played on my Soultool signature guitar. For fretless leads I use a custom telecaster build by Michi Hartmann, for fretless rhythm parts I use my old defretted Ibanez JEM. Btw: what did you guys think of the new music I included in last week´s newsletter? — at FountainheadHQ.

Christie Lenée: 5 Suggestions for the New Year! - suggestion 1 see Christie at NAMM

Happy New Year Friends!

I want to take a moment and thank you for all of your love and support in 2013. I truly appreciate you coming out to the shows, engaging in conversations on facebook, watching and sharing the videos, and listening to the music! You may not realize this, but it is YOU that keeps independent artists going through this infinite journey of creating and sharing. Thank you for being a part of this music community. :)

It is now 2014 and we have a lot to look forward to. For your personal life and goals, here are
5 Suggestions for the New Year!
1) Get focused on goals and how to accomplish them.
2) Make a list and ideal timeline.
3) Schedule in the things that are important to you, including personal and career advancements.
4) Expand your mind in every way possible. A favorite quote:
-"To learn, read. To know, write. To master, teach."
5) Further discover who you are and your place in this world. Once you find something keep going for it... even if it's a struggle at times, if it brings you joy and happiness it's ultimately worth it. But NOTHING worth anything is easy. It takes work, but rewards are to come if you keep at it and believe!

**Let's keep working towards our dreams.*** :)

NAMM: The World’s First Optical Analogue Guitar Cable Technology Launched!

The World’s First Optical Analogue Guitar Cable Technology Launched

London, 2nd January - Iconic Sound Ltd is proud to introduce the world’s first optical analogue, jack-to-jack, guitar cable, The Light Lead. This revolutionary new technology will offer guitarists a mind blowing new guitar cable, which has zero capacitance and zero loading resulting in the most precise, perfect, dynamic and crystal clear guitar sound they've ever experienced!

Traditionally guitar cable manufacturers, using basic multi-strand copper cable, have minimised capacitance but have never been able to eliminate it. This has resulted in a loss of high frequencies especially on longer leads. The new Patent Pending Light Lead technology is unique in the existing cable industry using analogue fibre optic technology to provide zero capacitance. This achieves a completely flawless analogue signal transmission with no compression and faithful reproduction of the guitar tone, whatever the length of lead!

The PVC coated Light Lead uses ultra high density, small diameter optical analogue cables that are resistant to crushing and impact giving them a virtually infinite life. They are electrically safe with full electro-magnetic immunity, which makes them distortion and interference free. Subsonic and motion noise, static and interference will be a thing of the past; never again will guitarists’ find their cables acting as aerials. With these advantages they are ideal for use in environments that depend on consistent reliable sound delivery whether it’s on stage or in the studio. The future is light!

The optical analogue technology has the ability to be expanded into many areas of the audio industry from microphones to speakers, headphones and more.

Iconic Sound Limited will be debuting The Light Lead at the Winter NAMM show, January 23rd to 26th, Hall C, Booth 4594. For further in formation please visit their websitehttp://www.iconicsound.com/ or contact Danielle Barnett, danielle@iconicsound.com, cell +44 (0) 7802 841652

Dario Lorina: new rhythm guitar player for Black Label Society

Black Label Society
Happy New Year! Please welcome Dario Lorina as the new rhythm guitar player for BLS! Thanks to all of you that submitted videos and demos. There are some really great guitar players out there! —
#

Dario Lorina s debut solo CD reveals a guitarist brimming with extreme musical ability. This guitarist brings more diverse influences into play than the average riff monger. While technically proficient like all of the label's guitar instrumentalists, Dario's CD isn't just about shredding. It's an American guitar instrumental album having more in common with riffs reminiscent of Paul Gilbert George Lynch and Van Halen than the European influence of guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen.

NAMM: Bohemian Guitars will be Exhibiting at NAMM - Anaheim Convention Center 2014

Founded in 2012 through a successful Kickstarter campaign, Bohemian Guitars has reimagined a classic instrument by creating one-of-a-kind electric guitars using unconventional materials such as vintage oil cans. The magnet in the guitar's pickup interacts with the semi-hollow metal body and strings to generate a unique deep, harmonically rich tone. At NAMM, we will be showcasing these “industry first” guitars, inspired by the streets of South Africa.

Exhibiting at booth #1153 in Hall E of the Anaheim Convention Center, I’d love to schedule a time for you to speak with founders Adam and Shaun Lee, where they will be showcasing a few new products, and demoing the guitars. Please let me know if you have any questions about Bohemian Guitars and a date/time that would work best for you. Thank you for your time and I look forward to talking to you soon.
