The Hammer Jammer, a key-hammering attachment for guitar, was originally invented in the 1990’s. For several reasons, the product was not pushed into the market at that time. However, due to a Hammer Jammer demo video that went viral on YouTube in January 2014, all 1800 original samples were sold within a month, worldwide, to 60 countries.
Interest did not stop then, and the video has continued to average three thousand views each week. In response, Ken McCaw, inventor of the Hammer Jammer launched a crowd funding program in late 2014. Guitarists from all around the world have supported the project through pre-sales, which has allowed the product to be re-tooled for release in April 2015.
The Hammer Jammer has also proven to be a useful tool for disabled players (including a number of wounded servicemen) with limited finger flexibility.
This new video shows additional types of guitars, and demonstrates more of the potential for this invention.
