John 5: Video for “Now Fear This”

Being a guitarist is a lifelong addiction with no cure. It’s who you are.” — John 5
Guitarist John 5 today debuted the music video for his latest single, “Now Fear This.” Once again, he is collaborating with director/editor Matt Zane who previously worked on the “Making Monsters” video. The video coincides with the release of the single, now available on all digital outlets.

Showcased in a solo performance, the video features 3 minutes and 33 seconds of John 5’s mad skills as he riffs away on his Fender Telecasters. The video single is the fourth in a yearlong series in which he’ll debut a new video on the first day of each month in 2016.

John 5 has had an illustrious career collaborating with chart-topping artists such as k.d. lang, David Lee Roth, and Rod Stewart. He has performed on critically acclaimed world tours with Marilyn Manson, and is currently the guitarist and a co-songwriter for Rob Zombie. John 5 ventured into the world of film scores when he composed for Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem. Since 2004, he has enjoyed a successful solo career, with eight studio albums to date. He recently released his Greatest Hits Vol. 1.

“All my life I’ve really enjoyed music: making music, playing it, and recording it,” he says. “It’s such a relief and a joy to do what I do for a living. I know it sounds corny, but I think the meaning of life is to do what you love and be happy.”

John 5 and the Creatures wrapped up their successful Behind the Nut Love tour on March 20. Look for him on the road with Rob Zombie again at the end of April.
