Rob Guz: working with 11-stringed rendition of Tokyo Dream (A. Holdsworth)

Just trying out (in rubato-feel/freely) some chord "stuff" and bass.strings arr. of my own in the theme of Allan Holdsworth’s beautiful tune Tokyo Dream.; my own small "spots", my own 11-stringed /adaptation and rendition in this lovely music. I will really enjoy playing this tune on stage in the future.

I hope this video will inspire others to study Allan’s themes, chord improvisations etc. Please, don’t forget this very important aspects of Allan‘s music. All the aspects in his music are "equally" important in order to keep Allan’s music alive. Just … please.

That 11-stringed guitar in the video is my "main ax" since almost 20 years. That guitar was made by luthiers on my commission by me, and from my performance requirement. The tuning system, from "top to bottom" followed by string dimensions: g 0,007, d 0,010, bb 0,013, f 0,018w, C 0,026, G 0,036, D 0,046, G 0,062, Eb 0,074, D 0,074, C 0,074.
