For older folk like me CD reamins king, but for generation x and possibly y, Livio Lamonea has added the ability to download electronic music files from snocap. Livio's CD has been a firm favourite on my mp3 player and should appeal to fans of fusion guitar. Livio Lamonea has set The release date of my first solo CD "Modern" for the end of March 2007. To coincide with the release Livio will be playing live, in trio format, at Thaddeus Caserta on April 6th, 2007.

Livio Lamonea has revamped his English web site and he's added more info about his music, live gigs, clinics, lessons, videos, mp3 and more... The good news is that Livio has now completed his first solo cd is ready to be printed and distrubuted...he is also planning to tour to support the release. The first of these touring events will be a "G3" tour featuring myself, Ciro Manna and Marco Sfogli...more when I know...

Livio Lamonea is busy with the mixing of his debut CD. The CD will contain 7 or 8 tunes, all originals, except a cover of a Stevie Wonder tune. The CD fetures fellow band mates from Livio's trio Massimo Mercogliano bass, Gino Pisani drums plus Massimo D'ambra on keyboards.

Livio Lamonea will be a judge in the top rock guitarist competition set for 28-10-2006. Other judges include Pietro Condorelli and Marco Sfogoli. At the end of the contest there will be a short set jam with all the players! Also there will be Keyboard maven Alex Argento, who co-incidentally has a new web site. Alex Argento is set to release a CD called EGO featuring a number of cool Italian players, Marco Sfogli, Fabrizio Leo, Alessandro Benvenuti, Vittorio Falanga and Jon Reshard on bass.

Background:
Livio Lamonea was born in Naples (Italy) on July 11, 1976. He started playing guitar when he was 13 years old and played his first linve show when he was 15 where he played tracks by Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani. Later he participated in clinics and workshops with Mike Stern, Scott Henderson, Steve Morse, Joe Diorio, Frank Gambale, Maurizio Colonna and Jim Hall.
He attended the summer school in 2004 at Guitar Institute of Technology, California, graduating with Vocational Honors, the most prestigious title awarded by M.I.’s special jury.
He currently teaches modern electric guitar at J.A.M. in Pomigliano D’Arco, Naples and at A.M.M. in Aversa, Naples.
He has a a fusion trio called "Zarabeth" which plays Allan Holdsworth covers.
