Shred This III has the best prize pool of all of them so far, and the awesome Mr Garsed as final judge and creator of the backing track. I get to watch some awesome guitar players groove over the tracks and have the hard job of sorting the best from the rest, but I admire everyone who has a shot.

Brett was my very first guitar hero over 23 years ago, and with the advent of email I was able to exchange emails with him from time to time over the last 8-10 years. I sent him my first CD when it came out and he gave some very kind feedback, and I think he even asked me a bit about the advantages of DIY when he released "Big Sky". Because we're in different states and about 10hrs drive apart, I haven't met him face to face but sooner or later I'd love to go down to Melbourne, watch him play and maybe catch up for a lesson or jam. He's the best of the best in my opinion.
